A progression course is defined as a course that is delineated as a pre-requisite course for a course in the following quarter/quarter. Progression Course: they face termination from the program. Sonographers have extensive direct patient contact which may include performing invasive procedures.This technically challenging, patient-focused field demands that sonographers demonstrate a high level of decision making, diagnostic responsibility, and critical thinking skills.Sonographers are part of a medical team, which includes physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals who provide essential clinical information that is used to plan treatment and care for patients.There are several areas of specialization in the field of sonography which include obstetrics/gynecology, abdomen, echocardiography, vascular, breast, and pediatric sonography. As a radiation-free medical imaging modality, Diagnostic Medical Sonography provides important clinical information for the diagnosis and treatment of patients.These complaints will be reviewed according to HPP policy.Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ultrasound) is a medical technology using high-frequency sound waves to produce dynamic multi-dimensional visual images of organs, tissue, and blood flow. If the complaint regards the RISP director or an HPP policy, it should be submitted to the Director of the Health Professions Programs. If the complaint is not resolved at the RISP level, the complaining party may appeal the decision through the HPP appeal policy.The complaining party will be informed of the result of the review process no later than 5 business days, excluding holidays, after a decision has been made.The RISP director is responsible for implementing changes, if any result from the resolution of the complaint. The RISP director will review the committee recommendation, consult with department or school administration, if needed, and provide a written decision within 5 business days, excluding holiday, of receiving the committee's recommendation. The recommendation will be made within 15 business days of the appointment of the committee. The committee will review the complaint, gather additional documentation, and make a recommendation on both the validity of the complaint and possible resolutions to the complaint. Other appropriate persons may be added, as needed, to address the specific situation. The composition will include representation from the RISP faculty (one of which will be appointed as chairman) and may include an HPP faculty member not in RISP. Appoint a committee of non-involved individuals within 5 business days, excluding holidays, of the receipt of the complaint. Work out a reasonable solution with the student complainantī. At appropriate points during the Diagnostic Sonography Program, the student will be able to:
